7th December 2008 - Christmas Lunch.
We made a return visit to the Bunbury Arms, Great Barton for our Christmas
Lunch, where sixteen members and family enjoyed a carvery meal. This year
instead of a raffle we had a 'Secret Santa' where everybody was able to choose
a Christmas present.
Chairman Owen presented all the ladies with two roses and Brian Lloyd with a
framed photo of him as chef at the Technical Weekend in May. Brian was also
the recipient this year for the 'Member of the Year' award chosen by last
years winner Martin Wallis. Martin said that he thought Brian had worked hard
at our events at being chef at our barbecues. Brian will be choosing the
members of the year for 2009.
