We will meet up at Morrison’s Supermarket, Clip Bush Lane, Fakenham at 9-30am for a 10am start. The route will take in the North Norfolk coast area, including Wells and we will end the run with a visit to The Collectors World at Downham Market. A special rate for entry has been negotiated and part of the car park and tea room set aside for us. It would be appreciated if you could let Tricia know if you intend to join us, so we know how many to expect. Thank you. This year the run is being organised by members of the Morris Marina Club.
2nd May - Ipswich to Felixstowe Run.
Those members that have booked into this run are welcome to join us at the Asda Supermarket just off the A14 at Ipswich. We will be assembling there at 9-30am and then drive altogether to Christchurch Park and the start of the run.
It is too late to book into the run as entries should have been received by 28th February. Please don’t turn up on the day if you haven’t booked in as they will not let you in. Let Tricia know if you will meet with us at Asda so we can wait for everyone to arrive. The run promises to be a good one as the organisers have special events planned for their 40th anniversary.
11th & 12th September - 30th Anniversary run.
This year the run is in the form of a farming theme. It begins at the Rare Breeds at Stow Bardolph near King’s Lynn on the Saturday morning. We start with a guided tour and a talk by a gamekeeper. We have a lunch stop and then on to the Post Mill at Stanton near Bury St Edmunds, where we will also be given a guided tour. From there we head to The Cedars at Stowmarket for a party and meal to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Those who wish can stay overnight as Martin has provisionally booked some rooms. The price for a double/twin room is £70 and a single room £60 and includes breakfast. Let Martin know as soon as possible if you require a room.
Sunday starts with a visit to the Suffolk Punch horses at Hollesley Bay followed by lunch. Over the weekend Martin will be holding his usual auto tests and quizzes. The entry fee for the weekend is £30 which includes entry to the places we visit but meals will be extra. Contact Martin for more details and to book a room on 07954-037460 or email him at

Paul Collison will be coming to help out with technical advice and we should have a visit by MMOC Chairman John Frye sometime during the day.
If you have a car for sale, bring it along. Tricia and Jimmy will be compiling a road run and competitions throughout the day will include an old fashioned grope, identifying the part and raffle. There will also be a section for members cars for display. We will be looking for help over the weekend with the running of the various stalls, so please let Tricia know if you can help. EVENT REPORTS
21st February - Indoor Meeting, Scole.
We had a good turn out of 15 members and family attend the meeting at the Scole Community Centre. We got down to discussing our events this year and points were raised regarding the National Rally and Public Liability insurance.
After the business side was completed, Sian Charlton handed round a list of twenty questions entitled ‘A Pot Pourri of Useless Knowledge’. I hope everybody got the first question which was what was the colour of the white line down the middle of the road? Even Owen and I got this one right! Gordon Leaver had 9 questions correct and so was the winner of a bottle of wine. Well done Gordon and thank you to Sian for bringing along the quiz. The answers generated a lot of discussion amongst members.
Thank you also to Sue who brought along some Easter eggs to raffle off. Chris, Tricia and Gordon won these. Pam very kindly brought along some Hot Cross buns and cakes and kept us all supplied with lots of cups of tea and coffee. Thanks very much Pam.

Especially Greg who took the time to explain to me (someone who doesn’t always understand the goings of a computer) how to send the newsletter in two different formats.
Those who haven’t already had their membership cards will receive them shortly.
