24th January.2009.

The Restoration Show is back. After cancelling last years event at very short notice this year they have gone the other way and its back on at very short notice.

Despite that we will be there as usual.

The theme this year is back to basics with a Restoration that is complete and one that is a work in progress.

Please take the time to visit our stand situated in the heated hall within the Norfolk Showground. Bring your ticket with you, give an hour or so of your time to man our stall and we will refund your entry fee. Not a bad deal if i say so myself.

See you there.

Sunday February 21st.

This will be our first indoor meeting of 2010. We will be discussing events and outings for the summer season. No doubt someone will set a quiz and the Ladies will be serving tea, cakes etc. Come along and have your say, meet friends old and new.

The venue is Scole Community Centre, Ransome Ave, Scole, near Diss, just off the A140/A143 junction. Start time 2.30pm.

Sunday March 21st.

Again we will be indoors at Scole Community Centre, 2.30 start. No details on happenings for this day, details to follow.

Sunday April 25th.

This day has been designated as “Drive it Day”. In past years our events co-ordinator Bryan has found some of the prettiest and unspoilt byways of Norfolk to travel around for the day. This time we decided to give him some time off. For those of you that have joined us on this event before you will have seen a couple of Marinas tagging along. This time they are setting the route for us. No start point or any other details are to hand at present but we will update asap. I have a feeling we will be starting somewhere in the northern part of Norfolk.

Sunday 23rd May.

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Branch we are holding an event at Tricia and Jimmy Loades` farm, Langley. There will be Autujumble, stalls, Technical advice, another road run and other attractions. If you wish to sell any surplus Morris parts come along and make yourself a few bob (pence). More details soon but put this one in your diary, it tends to be a very good event.

SOMETIME IN JUNE !!!!

After squeaking a win in the December bowling match the Chairman and team captain of “the rest” challenged “Ipswich” to a rematch. I will let you know the date and venue where we wish to get our own back on him. No-one can be that lucky twice…….or can they ???

Sunday July 25th.

Norfolk and Suffolk Branch rally, Banham zoo.

We do try to move around with this rally and as we have not been this way for a while we thought this attraction deserved some attention. If you wish to get there early you will find the well established Banham Bootsale in full swing, come and look for that bargain. When that has settled down we can get on with the serious stuff……..Moggies !! and of course there is the excellent Zoo for you to visit as well. Updates when we have more to hand.

11th and 12th September.

30th Anniversary Run.

As in previous years its time for our weekend run. This time the theme is The Land. We will start just outside Kings Lynn with a talk and a guided tour by a local Gamekeeper. After lunch its off to a working windmill in Suffolk for a full tour. I have booked rooms and an evening meal at a small Motel in Stowmarket. Some members of the Essex Branch will be joining us for the meal to celebrate their 39th Anniversary too. Sunday will see us visiting the heavy horse stud out on the Suffolk coast. If this sounds a little bland remember I will liven things up with the usual “Autotests” and questions en-route, YOU WILL NOT HAVE TIME TO BE BORED !!!.
