26th April 2009 - Drive It Day.
The weather for this run was perfect, with sunshine all day. Seven Morris
Minors, three Marinas, one Ital and an A40 left Tesco Supermarket in
Norwich for a run in South Norfolk to Tricia and Jimmy's home at Langley for
the first port of call. The cars parked on their meadow and while looking
around Tricia and Jimmy's collection of Morris' and Austin's members enjoyed
some refreshments.
Then it was on to Pam and Owen Smith's collection at Fritton near Great
Yarmouth. Here twenty-five of us enjoyed lunch while we looked around Pam and
Owen's collection. We held a raffle kindly sold by Jacky and her Mum. Then
we were on to the East Anglian Transport Museum at Carlton Colville to end the
run and have a look around. Already there were the Lowestoft Classic Vehicle
Club, who were inside the Museum grounds and some more cars which had been on
the Museum's Drive It Day run.

Members were able to take a trip on a tram or trolleybus, which was driven by
one of our members Sian Charlton. We all had a great time at the Museum.
Bryan and Hilary Gostling had compiled the run and set some questions along
the way. These were answered correctly by Jacky and Brian Lloyd who won a
goody bag for their car. Thank you to everybody who worked so hard to make
our run a success.
