20th August 2006 - Eastern Regional Rally.
This year it was the turn of the West Norfolk Branch to host the Eastern
Regional Rally, which was at Oxborough Hall. There were thirty cars including
six concours cars. The weather wasn't too bad with a small shower at lunch
time. We were able to look around the National Trust property and in the
afternoon some of the entrants were picked to park around the moat.
A lot of our Branch members were in attendance and some came home with prizes
for their cars. Owen Smith won first prize for his Million in the 2 door
saloon category. His wife Pam won first in the convertibles and Martin Wallis
won the Modified Class. They all received an engraved glass. Some of us also
came away with a lot of raffle prizes. Well done to the West Norfolk's for
organising the event.
