18th February 2007 - Bowling Challenge.

 

The three Norfolk Branches held a bowling challenge organised by the North Norfolk Branch at Ten Pin, Bowthorpe near Norwich.  Thirteen members and family from our Branch attended, competing for the Shield.  Our team consisted of Brian, Pam, James, Mick, Tricia and Jimmy.  Playing on another lane for fun was Sue, Elaine and Eileen.  Cheering us on were Jacky, Judy, Owen and Martin. 

 

After two games the winners this year were the North Norfolk Branch with an average of 248.  We were second with 185 and West Norfolk were third with 128.  Congratulations to the North Norfolk's as they only had four in their team.  The highest score was won by Roger from North Norfolk with 302 and the lowest was Mark from West Norfolk, each received a prize.  Our team scores were Tricia - 145, Jimmy - 146, Pam - 188, Brian - 285, James - 169 and Mick - 180.  Sue had 129, Elaine - 211 and Eileen - 142.

 

After the games we had a meal followed by a raffle.  We thank the North Norfolk Branch for organising the games.
