18th January 2009 - Bowling.

 

We had a new venue and date for our bowling outing this year and went to Bury Bowl at Bury St Edmund's.  Fourteen members and family had two games of bowls and a meal afterwards.  Ten bowled and we played in two teams.  We named the teams Ipswich versus the Rest.   The winners were Ipswich with 968 points.  The Rest with 951.  Not a lot in it.

 

The highest scorer was Brian Lloyd with 300 points and Owen presented Brian with a shield.  The lowest scorer was Stephen Miller and he was presented with a miniature bowls set for practising with.

 

The scores were as follows: Angie 159, Martin 186, Shawn 230, Gordon 234, James 159, Tricia 171, Sue 160, Brian 300, Pam 184 and Stephen 136.  A raffle held raised £30-50 and we thanked Jacky and Brian Lloyd for organising the event.  We all had a good time.
