15th July 2007 - Norfolk and Suffolk Branch Rally.
We had a slightly better turn out at this years rally with fourteen Morris
Minors and one mini in attendance. We did have eighteen booked in but some
didn't turn up, may be due to the bad weather forecast. This year we joined
the Lowestoft Classic Vehicle Club at the Maltings Meadow, Ditchingham at
their annual event. Throughout the day there was a steady stream of cars
coming on to the field.
The weather wasn't too bad for us except for a downpour at 2-30pm which sent
everybody running for cover. Including our gazebo! But we waited for the
shower to clear out and we were then treated to some sunshine. So we got away
lightly with the weather.
We had a good variety of Morris Minors on display despite the low numbers. We
asked two members from the Broadland MG Owners Club on the stand next door to
judge our cars. They chose as Best In Show Henry Coopers Series MM saloon BDX
407. Henry also won the longest distance with 90 miles travelled from Essex.
The shortest distance was jointly won by Tricia and Jimmy Loades with 6 miles
travelled from Langley. So well done to them
